ATAC Solutions, one of the UK’s leading wastewater solutions and wastewater management companies, has appointed Nigel Palmer as Head of Process Engineering.
The role will see Nigel provide process and technical support as part of ATAC Solutions provision of waste water design solutions. This will include the production of process design calculations and project value engineering to facilitate the best value solutions to clients. He will also be assisting the business with operational support on key projects across the company’s portfolio of water companies and private clients.
An expert within the waste water sector, Nigel joined Southern Water in 1974 as an Operations Manager before progressing into a process support role within the business in 1995 as a Principal Process Scientist. In 2008 he moved into principal contracting, working for consultants including Mott MacDonald and Mach-Tech, primarily on Southern Water schemes including the Peacehaven water treatment works. Last year he moved into the Engineering and Technical Services Department working on the AMP6 design programme.
ATAC Solutions operates in the domestic, municipal and industrial markets nationwide and offers engineered solutions that include biological treatment processes, wastewater treatment systems, service and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems and pumping systems, deployable containerised solutions, vacuum sewerage collection and process design consultancy.
